Luxco, an industry leading spirit maker, collaborated with Walmart to create a premium, private label whiskey. When it came to the naming and branding, they left that to us. In a crowded category that lacked inclusivity, we decided to champion some of the first and finest whiskey makers – women. The name Alias is a nod to the fake and anonymous names women utilized to bring whiskey to the masses – despite the laws it violated.
